We drove our own car from the capital up to turrialba and then followed the ExplorNatura bus with the raft to their drop-in point near Tres Equis. You could combine this - with an extra day - with a volcano visit. My 18 year old daughter made the trip with me. A rafting trip like this - through CLass 4 rapids - should be fun but also serious - because, well, there's a lot of Class 4 rapids on the Pacuare.
